Issue Position

Steve is committed to protecting women's access to reproductive health care and a woman's right to choose. Women's health care has been under attack by Republicans in Congress, who even sought to shut down the government over funding for Planned Parenthood, which provides critically needed services, including cancer screenings and contraception to both men and women.

Steve strongly supports initiatives to provide support for working women, from equal pay for equal work, support for women owned businesses, tax credits for child care, and Paid Family Medical Leave, to ensure that when a baby is born or adopted, a family member is sick, or an emergency happens, none of us should have to choose between caring for our loved ones and paying the bills.
